Privacy policy
Version 2026-10-draft. Plain English, short and honest.
Who we are
Vetted Networx is an invite-only network for film, TV and events freelancers and the companies that hire them. Contact us at thenetworxx@gmail.com about anything in this policy.
What we collect
Your name, email, password (stored scrambled, never readable), trade, area, and the agreements you sign.
What you add: your calendar choices, events you add, calendar links you connect, invites you make and requests you send.
If you ask to join as a founder: your name, trade, area, contact details and anything you tell us about your work.
Why we use it
To run the network: verifying members, matching work, referrals, bookings and keeping the network safe.
We rely on our agreement with you, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the network trustworthy. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Companies only ever see whether you're free, never what's in your diary. Private events and linked calendars are visible only to you.
Our suppliers process data for us: Supabase (database, hosted in London), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (takes companies' subscription payments; we never see card details) and Resend (sends our emails, such as password reset links). They can't use it for anything else. If you switch on notifications, a short title and line (never the words of a private message) pass through your phone or browser maker's notification service (Apple, Google, Microsoft or Mozilla) to reach your device. If you use the AI helper in Help, your question and a short summary of your own account are sent to Anthropic, which runs the helper; it doesn't keep them to train its AI.
How long we keep it
While you're a member, and up to 6 years after for anything needed for tax, payment or legal disputes. Founder requests that don't lead to joining are deleted after 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email thenetworxx@gmail.com and we'll reply within a month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
